It will be difficult to find a person nowadays who can say that he or she manages to maintain perfect weight throughout their life. We are surrounded by foods containing huge amount of sugars and fats. We drink too much alcohol, which usually is high in calories too.
But what happens with our body when we become overweight? The answer is simple: with obesity our body stores excess of fat, which is accumulated in the abdomen, thighs, arms and other parts of our body day after day, year after year. And the older we grow it becomes more and more difficult to stay in a good shape.

And the older we grow it becomes more and more difficult to stay in a good shape.
So, what are the main factors that cause Obesity?
I would divide factors into those, which we can control and those beyond our control.
FACTORS, AFFECTING OUR OBESITY THAT WE CAN CONTROL
-A diet rich in sugar, fats, and carbohydrates.
- Junk and pre-processed foods intake.
- Psychological – we tend to eat too much when we are upset or depressed.
- Hormonal disturbances, especially in women, during pregnancy and menopause
- Intake of oral contraceptives for women.
- Irregular and uncontrolled Eating Habits are a main cause for excessive body weight.
- Slow metabolic rate of your body
FACTORS AFFECTING THE OBESITY THAT CAN NOT BE CONTROLLED.
- Suffering from the following conditions like: hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, polycentric ovary syndrome and Cushing’s syndrome
- Obesity is known to be caused by physical inactivity.
The amount of calories you burn should be greater than the amount you take in.
- Medications for depression, convulsions, diabetes, high blood pressure, antihistamines, etc.
- Genetic factors passed down the generations as genes affect a number of weight-related processes in the body such as metabolic rate, hormones etc., though, it is possible to overcome genetic factors through making extra efforts to control your weight.
- Environmental factors- agricultural pollution.
So, if you are worried about being overweight, take into consideration all those factors mentioned above, especially Controllable Factors, which contribute to obesity and take steps to eliminate them.
To do so, please make sure you burn more calories than you are consuming every day. Calories are shown on the labels of food – don’t forget to check them! Take note of the amount of calories and make sure you get rid of them through regular exercising.
Eat healthy food and a well balanced diet, containing olive oil, Omega 3 oil, protein and vegetables and fruit, preferably organic (but be careful as some fruit contain more sugar than others).
Don’t forget to include into your diet Green tea as this would be a perfect addition to your goal of weigh loss. Bear in mind that the healthier you eat each day and exercise, the more fat you will burn. Cut out junk and processed food. Try to cook yourself and avoid eating bought ready-made foods.
Find a well designed and balanced Training Program to help you to burn your fat faster and follow it through. This will help you to improve your metabolism rate and get rid of fat. You will feel more energetic and your general mood would improve. But remember, that no single program will work for you unless you stick to it. Once you decide to get into a weight loss program and eventually shed those excess pounds off your body, you will need to make sure you will achieve your goal. Stay focused and Get Slim!
